September 2015

During September Daniel & Emma have helped to raise 9951 SEK for UNHCR, to support refugees in the crisis in Syria. 100% of CD sales were donated to the cause, and audiences were invited to give what they could in exchange for a CD. People payed between 87 SEK and 500 SEK. A BIG THANK YOU for helping us to help!

28 August 2015

It’s been a great summer filled with lovely concerts and meetings. A refreshing mix of church concerts, festival gigs, and the week of folk gatherings in Dalarna, Sweden. Emma won the Vista-Lasse award and Daniel has released an album with the project Nybyggnan. We have also completed our season as Artists in Residence at the college in Lunnevad. Very encouraging to meet so many youngsters hungry for folk music – thanks for now!

April 2015

At last the warmth and light is returning and the birds are heralding the spring! We are looking forward to a spring and summer with lots of lovely gigs in Sweden, including a concert at Ransäterstämman and several summer concerts in churches, which we love for the atmosphere and the acoustic. Check out the calendar to see if we are playing near you.

January 2015

The new year burst into life with a week of teaching, playing for dancing and a concert up in Malung, Dalarna. A lovely place with lovely students!

December 2015

After two wonderful concerts our album Nära & Kära is now released! It has already been aired on both British and Swedish radio.

We have had some lovely reviews:

Audience quotes from our Gig book (translated from Swedish):
”So accomplished, sensual, generous.. words are insufficient.”

September 2014

Daniel & Emma have the honour of being Artists in Residence at Lunnevads Folkhögskola 2014/2015. We think it’s great fun – and very important – to spread folk music to youngsters.
